If you have a balance in your Ryanair Wallet (from a refund or travel credit), you can use it to pay for new flights and services. However, Wallet credits are not applied automatically at checkout. You must use a unique voucher code.
1. Locate Your Voucher Code
Before you start your booking, you need to find your unique 16 or 18-digit code. This code is sent to you via email once your refund or credit is processed into your Wallet.
Check your inbox: Search for an email from Ryanair confirming your "Travel Credit" or "Wallet Refund."
The Code: Look for a string of 16–18 alphanumeric characters.
Can't find it? Log into your myRyanair account, go to the "Wallet" section, and check your transaction history. The code is often listed next to the credit amount.
2. Why is the "Wallet" button greyed out?
If you see your balance at checkout but the "Use Wallet" button is shaded or unclickable, it is because you must manually enter the voucher code instead of clicking the balance.
3. How to Apply the Credit at Checkout
Follow these steps to ensure your credit is applied to your new total:
Search & Select: Choose your flights and add-ons as usual on the Ryanair website or app.
Payment Page: Proceed to the final "Payment" step.
Find the Voucher Section: Look for the section labeled "Vouchers/Gift Cards" or "Apply a Voucher/Reward Code." 4. Enter the Code: Copy and paste your 16 or 18-digit code into the box and click "Apply."
Confirm Balance: The total price will update. If the credit covers only part of the cost, you can pay the remaining balance using a credit/debit card or PayPal.
Important Tips
Case Sensitive: Ensure you enter the code exactly as it appears in your email.
One Code per Booking: Generally, you can only use one voucher code per transaction.
Expiry Date: Check your Wallet for the expiration date of your credit; once expired, the code will no longer work.
Withdrawal: If you prefer a cash refund to your original payment method, click the "Withdraw" button in your Wallet. Note: Once a withdrawal is requested, the credit can no longer be used as a voucher.
Still having trouble? If your code is appearing as "Invalid," ensure you aren't trying to use a credit that has already been flagged for a cash withdrawal.
